Early festive cheer in Neepsend!

Christmas is coming to Kelham Island and Neepsend this weekend! The shopping season kicked off last Saturday with the Kelham Island Community Association organizing the Ball Street Deli Food and Drink market on the Ball Street bridge.

It looked great. If you missed it this time, keep an eye out of the next one. Hopefully it will become a regular event!

This Friday and Saturday Peddler Market hits 92 Burton Road for their last party until March next year, so don’t miss out.

They’ve been upgrading the bar over the last few weeks with a polished concrete bar top being poured by Kelham Island Concrete . It looks fantastic, we can’t wait to test it out! The Peddlers are also going all Christmassy this month with extra craft stalls and a few special events, which you can keep up with on their Facebook page.

If you’re looking to do a bit of shopping for your home, say “hi” to Frank, Pete McKee’s new street art and the newest member of 92 Burton Road on your way to Unit 6 Interiors.

To wash down the whiskey, the Sheffield Brewery Co are also opening their doors, selling their own bottled beer and gift packs too.

Across the bridge, the Kelham Island museum are holding their 24th annual Victorian Christmas Market on Saturday and Sunday, with festive entertainment and over 120 stalls of food and crafts.

We’ll be donning our Christmas jumpers and cooking up some nibbles and hoping to raise a little money for CRASH, the UK construction and property industry charity for the homeless, in the process.

Do let us know if you would like to join us and we hope to see you there!
